The Bush House

Below is the picture of my goal and dream! It is not surely this house, although I have loved it since I first saw it 20 years ago- My dream is to run a bed and breakfast! This particular Inn is no longer in use and unfortunately in a state of major disrepair. I can see it however being a beautiful bed and breakfast. The Inn is called The Bush House and is in Index, Wa. You may be able to find articles about it online if you are interested! The House was built in 1899 and was a lodge for several miners who mined in the mountains near Index. It has been said that one particular miner brought his fiance, Annabelle, to the Bush House so that she could be with him. One day a lady from the town brought news to her that her sweetheart had been killed in a mining accident. Upon hearing this Annabelle hung herself in room number 9.... The sad ending is that her fiance had not been killed at all. Upon returning and finding Annabelle deceased it is said he also killed himself. The story is a sad one, but when you enter the Bush House you are thrilled with its magnificence. If you take the time to walk the halls and the upstairs Hotel you would be in awe! It is amazing. The back yard is awesome! There is a "beer garden" at the back door that is nice and has a beautiful tree and garden area surrounding it. I would love to turn this into a crafter`s retreat as well as Bed and Breakfast! Stay Tuned! I am working on making the business plan for this! This is my current college course as well -so it is great! My financial counsellor says to take a year to make the plan for the B&B or else it will not be correct. SO it is my current challenge! The course has helped me tremendously, so I may not wait the full year. We shall see!
