Hi everyone! I am hoping this year turns out to be a good year for everyone here and that we can get on the bandwagon and do another stitch round! Even a small one - I am doing fine - have been working 6 days a week. Now with a new semester - I am only working at one school - dropped one for sanity reasons - ha - need time for myself - and to take care of things at home as well - laundry for one - ;) its the neverendingstory!!!!! I am so happy to be working only M W F now and still have the office I clean on the weekend - I haven't stitched since I sent my last lady off - I need to get stitching again ! What is up with everyone else????

I wish I could explain to you all where I have been... I can only say that I am now back. I have moved again with my son ;) to a wonderful place in Snohomish. I should be unpacked within a week. I am not sure I will be continuing college. I almost feel as if I would be better to work harder on the job I am presently working. I am going to be refocusing all of my lost energy in the next few weeks. I will probably start a new blog which contains all of those things which I love... and not so many that I cannot keep up. I do not wish anyone to worry and for those who are still friends... I thank you for you all had every right to walk away. I have not gotten all of the stitching information done or sent out...I regret this... but could explain - though excuses would sound bad coming from me. I am sorry, needless to say, and will be focusing on this as a priority. Needless to say I will not be doing the mirabilia stitchalong anytime soon. Perhaps someone would like to start it ... I would love to join but I need to find the time to be right. Dante... hehe is doing so so so good. I must say keeping up with him has been a challenge in itself. Thanks for visiting. Been a long time

First of all I truly need to apologize.... I havent even sent out my lady... I cannot make excuses... I will tell you that Jon and I are not going to stay together... and that he and I have been apart for awhile now. I still live here, but it is one of the only things we share. Dante is the only other thing. My lady was all ready to be finished... but I can only say my room has since been thrashed, and I have not caught up. I have her, and she is safe. Not everything made it through the madness, but she did. The chart is not where she was found, and therefore I have been swamped and doing as much as I can at a time to find it. I am completely embarrassed at this. I also have been very busy as I am looking for a house in addition to school, and getting ready for our yearly inventory at work. There are good things too... But for now I am focusing on Dante, getting a new place and family. I love you all, and promise that every day I am plugging away to get this corrected. Just looking at the blog this morning I feel better. I know that I must send Colleen`s lady soon. I will not be doing the Mirabilia exchange till I am one hundred percent moved and back to normal. I love you all...I miss you all. I will work this weekend to find the chart... thank you to all who have been so patient. Course I have pictures... tho I must add that was something else that managed to get thrashed. (I am being kind... I am not going to go into the pain and anger and who did what... I do not think it will help anything now.) I will try to check the blog more often. I want you all to know I am okay... I am a strong woman who will survive all of this and come out better for it. I am excited about buying a house. It will take a few months at the least, as you all well know. Love you all, Laura

Gee summer is busy between birthdays n baby n college n gardening n the remodel at work I honestly have lost all sense of time I have another week off of work next week :) SO I am asking for an extension on my stitching... (Colleen).... above is a fob ... I have a ton of things to post on my site... I just have to figure out the details ... so far I can only add 10.... I am thinkin of adding them all to ETSY and renumbering them so that it all makes sense... this way it definitely would work better for payment by all.... I have excellent news as well :) I got an A + in both of my finals this last week! I am in total shock... esp. on my Buddhism final... that was scary... the instructor was hard.... I have been working every minute I had since Friday on my three ladies round - ready to send to Laura on Fri/Sat this weekend! I have about 4 more hours of work to do on her and off she goes for the final round and final touches! Quite lovely - top and bottom of fabric are sort of on the skimpy side - but I know with mine I will make it into a pillow - so I know that I will be adding fabric all around! Cannot wait to see what everyone does with theirs. I am also making my Egyptian Sampler into a pillow for my sister in CT . So I will do both at the same time. Hoping to have them done by end of summer! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weather and family and fun wherever you are!

It has been absolutely forever since I have posted here... I have missed you all terribly... Just 2 days since my final... and I am already feeling relief... it was just too much... and I took a long needed break... now my break will include blogging, stitching, beading, reading, spending wonderful time with my family, and being so glad that the remodel at work is done in my area :) Thank you all for your patience... I will stitch on both the 3 Ladys project and on Red Poppy... and send the 3 Ladys by the 15th :) thats when I go to school for 9 weeks... 1 course... thats it :) then I am done ... graduate ;) yay!!! I have not been too crafty except to finish the fobs needed for my shop... Caroline was the lucky winner of my free fobs contest at the HAeD stitchalong group.... Today is Dante`s Birthday.... The last few months have completely flown by he is up and walking fast... even starting to run... I am so busy that I cant seem to keep up. Today we are going to the zoo!!!! We will have food prepared by his Grandma Terry and family and I got him some really cute cakes! I will take pictures... and hope his first trip to the zoo is perfect.... I loved the zoo as a child, and truly think it is the perfect place for his day! Love you Dante!

Hi everyone... miss you here I have been super busy, as always. How is it that it is even more busy although I feel like it should be slowing down ??? lol the good news is I have been stitching and getting A`s in my classes :) I also have had Dante this past Sat... and he is such a cutie he now says... baby, boy and Dante... and walks 5 steps ... and still such a comedian :) He will be a year old on May 23rd, and on the 24th I will have his birthday party here... he will go to the zoo the day before with Grandma T and other family :) ... so he is sure to have an eventful birthday weekend... I also finally figured out the photobucket albums below :) for those who have not yet seen them. :) I love them both ... I will post lots more soon :) I have a 4 day weekend ;) :) :) I also got a new phone today :) so I spent a lot of time getting that put together and both of my boys will get a new phone too... Dante`s moments: 1. when we were at Jon`s parents and he found their shell with the change in it... he picked out the quarters and dimes and threw them on the table and back into the shell... all is good but not into the mouth one of the no`s was met with "_es" (no attitude)as he handed me the quarter with a smile. 2. We went to my friend Stacys and her baby had a binky in his mouth ... so he pulled it out and put it in his mouth... he was so unaware that he had caused Quentin to be anxious to get it back he just thought it was what you do with a binky.... later Quentin took his, and he smiled.... Grandma hopes he is always innocent although I know it is not possible.... after all he is related to me ... lol

Here is a sneak peek at something I have been working on :) I have the next week off of college, and Dante on Tues. I go back to work on Thurs. I need the break :) Got my final done :) yay! Start school again on the 30th. Anyways... I am behind... as usual... but since I have days off I will work on the signups for the Jan SAL tomorrow as well as posting some more. Hope everyone is doing well... :) Laura Dante has been singing :) so cute... he dances by moving his head (body a little) from left to right when there is music. Well he put some "words" in there... not quite joining them with music, but I knew he was singing, SO I copied him... wow, he was thrilled :) and danced faster! SO then I added some more words and notes, and he is so cute just watching and smiling and dancing. I feel very spoiled today I also recieved this wonderful biscornu from Kim in Iraq. It is the cutest design, and I believe she designed it herself. If so, Kim, you really should look at publishing it, as it would definitely sell :) She sent me tons of goodies with it and each side is stitched with a cute surprise fairy... there is a mushroom, butterflies and even a dragonfly and bee :) and she even stitched me the cutest miniature scissor fob to match thank you Kim! I feel so spoiled. I have the day off due to inches of ice and snow covering the street in front of my house.... it was not a pleasant drive home last night - even though it was mild till the street where I live. Thankfully Jon was driving, or the car would still be at the bottom of the road :) snow is fine, ICE is not! when I got my mail, however, my tension melted! I got two items, and they both made me smile and warmed me right up! First I will share the 3 Ladies exchange Colleen, I have your piece, and .... I received a a beautiful set of squares for my final round of fair and squares yestersay from Mary K. I am choosing to end some of my groups, as I have had to choose between 2 ... With Dante, college, work and my upcoming garden it is important to keep things simple :) I will be starting a new round of RR in 2010 and would love to see you there... Ha! It is so weird. Today I am a year older 46 to be exact. Where does the time go? I feel like I am 28! I have lots of energy and too much that I want to do. I guess that is how it is with life! Not looking for birthday wishes - just meditating on the fact that time flies! Now , Laura, I have been working on my Ladies 3 - and I am going to be done with her today and she will be ready to send off to you either Tomorrow or Friday. I will give you the final notice of send off when it happens. I am working on your piece next Laura - I love it but is a challenge for me because of the dark fabric - thank goodness there are lots of blocks of color. Makes it easier on my poor eyes. Even with the mageyes! Really have been enjoying this stitching round! Enjoy your day everyone. I am going to stop in at Hollywood video and get my free movie!

pics I am HORRIBLE! I still havent posted pics, and now I do have a few :) I am overwhelmed with college actually e mailed my counsellor tonight i truly need a break .... I am proud to say Dante knows how to clap his hands and play patty cake :) He is a very smart boy... he says kitty ... :) and is actually learning his potty chair pretty good :) Stitching has come to a halt till tomorrow tomorrow I will :) :) :) and take pics or post pics of ANDREA`S WONDERFUL PIECE TO ME ... Good morning everyone. Happy Sunday to you all. I love Sundays , it is the one day of the week I am not working , not doing laundry or anything . Only spending time with my family. Yeah. It has been very quiet here! Yes, including me - you see, during the college semester - I am working 6 days a week ( I clean a dental office on the weekend) , I am also looking into becoming a dog groomer so that in the summer when work is low for ASL interpreting. So here is a picture of Dante this past weekend... He is sitting on my recently purchased rocker. :) He likes it alot, and it fits him well, the seat is pear shaped so it holds his little tush in :) and it is a medium size... I am always with him, of course, but he looks so big here :)

Hi everyone, I have been super busy. In answer to your question Vanessa, I will be starting a round but I think it will be probably Jan 1, 2010 Want to give everyone a break and time to catch up then I think we will do the Dragon themed round robin, OR a Mirabilia themed rr... I will make a place to vote on it... Basically you make squares on your RR.... probably 12 or so... I will find an example of one or a few and link to it later.... all different sizes of squares... Personally I would like them joined together... and then as the fabbie goes from place to place, the stitcher picks out a pattern and stitches it... as with the mirabilia, you may only stitch a part of a design... the head for example... (will post a link later...) it turns out really quite beautiful SO .... That is my thoughts that gives us time to finish off our egytptian pieces, 3 Ladies peices and make the squares and still enjoy the season and personal stitching the season being summer :) DO NOT WORRY along the way there will be a giveaway - perhaps a lottery ... and maybe a small stitch for a friend small design peice... Here are the pics of 2 fobs I made yesterday :) It was the only spare time I had.. the rest I spent doing homework. I learned alot, though! I have more tonight... I did not finish. I will be posting all of my scissor fobs on Scissors and Fobs link if anyone is interested. I hope to post them to the Etsy store soon as well. Had fun with these 2! Named them Monster Mash, and Grape Fizz :) The next picture is of the sky yesterday morning. Hi everyone! First I would like to say we are updating the sendoff date for the ladies to March 1. It is only a week or so from the due date, and we are so busy. We can send early, but I want everyone to be stress free :) 2. I wanted everyone who is interested to know about a 15 square biscornu I saw on my Basket of Biscornu SAL (for lack of a better definition)... http://tintocktap.blogspot.com/ It is incredible, and I think it would take more time, but would be so easy. There is also a wonderful tip for placing the button in the middle of your biscornu more easily! I have added the link to the blog links to the right as well :) 3. Just wanted to share some cute Dante news :) a. he did his first look grandma, I am not holding on to anything, and I am still standing :) and b. he figured out that the shadow on the wall moved with him :) he then moved his head in a cute back and forth sway for quite some time, and giggled. Okay, I think I have the spam cleaned up now... Hope everyone is doing well... Just wanted to remind everyone that the round of the 3 Ladies we have currently been working on is due out on February 24th. If there will be any problems getting it out, please let me know. I wonder what everyone`s thoughts are on after we finish the round... it seems we are very quiet. I was thinking of taking a small break, and then perhaps doing a SAL... I dont know... if anyone has ideas ... that is great... you have all been so much fun to stitch with, and I do hope we remain friends. I feel as if I have hurt some of you perhaps... as there is so much silence... If so, I never have meant to... I have a very busy life, and I am not truly caught up... ever. Welcome to February everyone... I am planting some plants in my aerogarden today I missed that goal this week This is my computer corner. Some of the finishes did not make it, they are being presently used, or are in the process of being finished... I love all of the items... they bring warmth to my corner. someday the corner will be painted another color and the corner will be in a whole different spot but for now, this is where I blog and keep my fabbie and dream of new projects! enjoy, and thank you to all of my stitching friends!

I am finished with school, and have 5 hours to go. I love my new classes. This week was the hardest of the whole 9 weeks bedides the final, I am sure... and I feel good. I turned everything in on time ;) I am off to stitch for 4 to 5 hours :) and then my son will be home, and I will visit him... :)don`t worry ladies, and perhaps a gent or two... I am also doing laundry... as I am not behind... yet! lol Have a good week... my goal today to finish my round 11 fair and squares main square Mon. To plant some plants in my aero-garden, and to work on my Peppermint Twist SAL... Tues... homework and stitch the signature square for my round 11 F&S Wed... to work on my main project Black Swan - Lily Pond Dreams Thurs... to work on homework and main project... Fri... to work on SAL, and Lily Pond Dreams.... Sat... to watch Dante...we may go see my brother`s completed chopper! and in the evening perhaps go out with Jon abit... if not I will stitch.... something... and organize my beading ... some more... getting it ready for etsy sales... Sun... Clean out under the stairwell to make Dante a sleeping spot... I have most of the materials now :) I also want to find a pattern I can stitch for his little room! there you have it.... goals for the week...
