I have a question. When doing the stitch-alongs first row, is it better to finish the threads or to leave them so that the next person can pick up with them? I was looking at the chart for the current one and noticed that there were areas of 1 and 2 squares and thought to myself "self, that seems like an awfully small area to try and finish the thread!" LOL
Thanks for your input.
Pixie
Pixie,
ReplyDeleteLaura did just the firdt line and I was able to start the second with out a problem.
However, with mine I did the curls because I thought it would be easier on the next person.

Laura
oh I should add ... I didnt as I said to you on the e mail - leave the strings
ReplyDeletealthough I have seen this done, I have never done it
I am always afraid the strings will tangle
on the other hand I think it would make a nicer back, and I am tempted to try this method
nothing could make my backs any worse
well ... some things could
lol
you decide pixie
and vanessa - you are doing fine ... deadline for the 1st row is November 30
haha

I left my threads but I rolled them up. I found that if I used a straight pin to hold the rolls in place it made it work quite easily. I think I may use this method for general stitching so that I can go row by row as opposed to trying to work a single color until it's done. Seems to me it may make it easier. LOL
